Holiday Description
It is most unusual to find a villa with just one bedroom and a private pool, so this house is a real favourite for romantic couples and honeymooners. Tucked into the heart of Maro village just 3 km from Nerja, Casa del Carmen is an enchanting house that has been beautifully restored using beamed ceilings and pretty tiles. The house is deceptively spacious and offers stylish comfort as well as a lovely walled garden/sun terrace around the pool (9m x 3m, depth 0.9m to 1.5m, with roman steps). Many guests return year after year to this unique villa. There are several restaurants and small supermarkets in the village and Maro’s small beach is approx. 15 min walk away downhill, whilst the busier beaches and greater variety of amenities in Nerja are easily reached by car or bus. Note: Maro’s annual fiesta takes place in the 2nd week of September and is great fun but very lively, probably not ideal for guests who prefer their beauty sleep!
Ground floor: rustic-style kitchen with microwave, leading into a lounge with wood burning stove, TV/DVD and CD player and dining alcove. Doors onto sun terrace with BBQ, shaded dining area and pool. Open staircase from lounge up to a double bedroom with balcony offering views over the village and down to the sea, plus a superb bathroom with a unique shower (with over 2,000 hand made tiles) and washing machine.
Twice weekly cleaning and weekly linen change. Saturday changeover (any day arrivals permitted until 26 March 2010).
Pets Allowed. Linen: Included with towels. A chargeable welcome hamper is available, and can be ordered when booking.
